Warwickshire is the very “Heart of England”. Home to some of the most beautiful and quintessentially English towns and villages whose very names conjure up images of history and romance. Gorcott Hall is one of Warwickshire’s finest exclusive use wedding venues, a true hidden gem set in around 15 acres of manicured gardens and Warwickshire countryside. We not only provide an amazing venue for your wedding day, but we’re also fantastically located for your guests to explore Shakespeare country.
Staying in Warwickshire
Stratford Upon Avon, the birthplace of the world’s most celebrated playwright, is a little over 10 miles from here. Stratford is the very essence of historic England, with 800 years of fascinating history, and all the culture you can take in! Home (of course) to the Royal Shakespeare Company, their theatre sits along the banks of the beautiful River Avon. As one of Britain’s ‘must visit’ tourist attractions for overseas visitors, there is a fantastic choice of hotels to suit every budget, should your guests decide to take in the sights as well as having the privilege of attending your big day!
Warwick Itself
A couple of miles further east is the county town of Warwick, home to one of Britain’s most visited tourist attractions, Warwick Castle. The Georgian splendour of Royal Leamington Spa is within easy distance too. A little closer to home is the affluent villages of Henley in Arden, with numerous pubs, bars and restaurants along a bustling High Street, picture-perfect Wilmcote, the birthplace of Mary Arden, mother of William Shakespeare, and Alcester, a truly classic English market town.
Let’s not forget Coventry, UK City of Culture, and famous for its pioneering work in the motor industry. Talking of which, the British Motor Museum at nearby Gaydon is a must-see for any petrolhead.
A Romantic Warwickshire Wedding Venue
Wherever you look in Warwickshire, there’s history. The same is true of Gorcott Hall. Nearly 500 years as one of the Midland’s finest country homes, we are now surely one of the finest wedding venues in Warwickshire, the wider Midlands and beyond.
Shakespeare’s romantic plays and poems have had no equal for almost 500 years. We’re proud of our romantic history too. In the same family ownership for almost 20 years, we are now firmly established as one the most unique wedding venues Warwickshire has to offer. Combining classic country house style with the timeless appeal of a rustic barn wedding venue, we work hard to provide you with the perfect venue for the special day you deserve.
